“Give Ear to My Words!” Acts 2:14

Peter, empowered by the Spirit, spoke to the crowds gathered on that Pentecost day in Jerusalem telling them to listen. His exact words were, “give ear to my words.” Then Peter brought them to the Word, that is to Jesus, with the words of Scripture given in the Book of Joel. Using prophecy that was familiar to listening Jews, Peter gave to those listening the good news that Christ had died for them. The promise was for them. What a difference the blessing of God makes. We don’t know why Terah, the father of Abram, never made it to Canaan, his destination. We know he left Ur of the Chaldeans, with his family to go to the land of Canaan. However, when they reached Haran, they settled there.
