Life Notes Malachi-Healing Will Come!

Malachi-Healing Will Come!

Many people of Judah had witnessed or heard of the message of John the Baptizer to repent and wait for the Messiah. Now there was Jesus. John needed to know or perhaps knowing needed to ask publicly of Jesus, “Are you the Messiah?” Jesus answer to John’s messengers was, “tell John what you see. I have healed the blind, the deaf, the lepers, raised the dead and preached the good news.” With that answer, the messengers returned to John.

Life Notes Ezekiel- “The Word of the Lord” Ezekiel 34:23

Ezekiel- “The Word of the LORD!

The conquest of the Southern Kingdom of Israel by Babylon happened in three stages over a period of 12 years with deportation of the citizens of Judah in each of those three successful attacks. Life Notes Nehemiah-Hear My Prayer

Nehemiah-Hear My Prayer

His brother spoke with concern, sorrowfully choosing his words. He spoke, “Nehemiah, our return to the land of our ancestors goes poorly. Our Holy City and the rebuilt Temple of Yahweh is unprotected by gates and a city wall and our existence is threatened daily.” Nehemiah’s spirit was crushed by the news and wept and mourned as he fasted and prayed. What must be done? What could be done? Something had to be done. As he prayed and fasted he realized he had a plan that might work. Jeremiah- “A New Covenant.” Jeremiah 31:31–32

It happened on a warm weekend day in a suburban part of Omaha. A man was pushing an empty wheel barrow down the middle of the street. When asked why, the answer brings to mind today’s hero of faith, the prophet Jeremiah. Jeremiah is a bull in a china closet kind of prophet.  He is called to the prophetic office before he is even born, consecrated by God before he was formed in his mother’s womb. Told by God when he protested that he was too young that he shouldn’t worry or be afraid because God was with him and then God says to Jeremiah; “Now I have put my words in your mouth. See, today I appoint you over nations and over kingdoms, to pluck up and to pull down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.”
