VOTERS MEETING – DECEMBER 5

On Sunday, December 5, immediately following the worship service in the worship center, we will have our voters meeting for approving our 2022 budget. An additional item on the agenda will be the approval of previous meeting minutes. Please click on the links below to download a copy of the meeting minutes from our May voters meeting along with the proposed 2022 budget. If you have any questions regarding the budget, please feel free to reach out to Krayton Koski, Treasurer (wordoflifelincolntreasurer@gmail.com), in advance of the meeting. POINSETTIAS FOR CHRISTMAS

It’s time to purchase poinsettias again for the church! We are not taking individual orders this year, but are purchasing 12 red, 6 white, and 6 pink. They are $10 each.  You may pay for them with cash or by a check to the church with a note that the money is for poinsettias. After the Christmas Eve service, you may take however many you’ve paid for in whatever color you’d like.

LUKE READINGS

Starting in Advent and going through Easter, we will be working our way through the Gospel of Luke. You all have the opportunity to participate in this by volunteering to create a video of yourself reading a section of the scripture, which will then be uploaded to YouTube. There will be three readings a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

The purpose of this reading schedule is two-fold:

Give people a schedule they need to get through the whole book over the course of the series.
Give members a chance to deliver God’s word to each other, by reading aloud and sharing it online.

Each reading will begin with the member introducing themselves and their reading. The reading introduction will simply be, “My reading is ____…” followed by the reading and then concluding it all with “This is the Word of the Lord”.

There are 63 readings so we still have plenty of openings. Thanks to those who have already signed up and uploaded their readings.

Once you have created your video, access the link below from your phone (or recording device). After opening the folder, upload your video. Edit the name so we know which reading you’ve done, for example, “Joe the Volunteer – Luke 1:1-38”.

PRAYER REQUESTS

A great way to strengthen us as Christians together is praying for each other and with each other. One of the cool opportunities we have for that is with the Prayer Chain. It’s a chance to share prayer requests and lift up prayer requests to our Heavenly Father who wants to hear our prayers.
If you have a prayer request or are interested in being part of the prayer chain, please contact Deb Scherer at deb_scherer@hotmail.com or 402-416-3607.
