“Complete My Joy by Being … of One Mind!” – Phil. 2:2
What does it mean to be of one mind? Certainly it has to do with focus. What about clarity of purpose or meaning? If you are of one mind, there is agreement and a base to work from. Do you think the following quote defines being of one mind? “I always say togetherness is greater than frustration. If we can just do it together and hang together and support each other … That sounds a little corny, but it is really a big part of these guys’ success.” Tim Miles, coach of the Nebraska men’s basketball team, made that statement after a win over Michigan state.

Is that what Paul meant when he wrote, “complete my joy by being of the same mind?” Yes, that and more. The boldness of Paul is shocking in his claim of how we become of one mind.

Question of the week: In Paul’s letter to the Philippians, he writes that he is sending to them Timothy, who is his son in the gospel, to care for them. Where did Timothy meet Paul?

Answer: Timothy was a native of Lystra in Lycaonia where Paul ministered on his first missionary journey. We are also told of Timothy’s mother Eunice, as was his grandmother Lois, both Jewesses who became followers of Christ. Timothy joined Paul and Silas on Paul’s second missionary journey at Lystra.

Update on our LifeCenter
The Planning Team met with Rick Geiler, our architect on Feb. 3rd to finalize the bid plans, which now have been distributed to be returned by late February. A recommendation, based on the outcome of the bids, will be presented to the congregation on March 16th for a vote on whether or not to begin the building process.

We pray and trust that God will lead us as we go, serving Him. Our LifeCenter for Christ and Community Campaign Co-Leaders are R.O.
