“Dream On!” – Acts 2:17
Are people from a Muslim background accepting Jesus as their Savior? The answer is “yes” and doing so in the face and danger of being ostracized and persecuted. A striking finding is the powerful role that dreams and visions are playing in drawing people from a Muslim background to Jesus.

Over one-fourth of those Christians from a Muslim background surveyed state that dreams and visions were key in drawing them to Christ and sustaining them through difficult times. Just as God used an angel to instruct Phillip to go to the Gaza road, He reveals Himself to Muslims through dreams and visions. Through visions and dreams God is preparing a multitude of Muslims to respond to His good news.

Nabeel Qureshi, a former Muslim who now works with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, said during his college years, three dreams helped to push him toward Jesus. Still, his Christian friends played a crucial role in his conversion. Qureshi has this advice for us. “Love the Lord Jesus with everything you have, and love your Muslim friend as yourself. Not as an acquaintance, not as an evangelism project, but as yourself. Let them see your love for God and what He has done for you.

So we, like Phillip, have a gift to share and a vision to guide us. Who will God lead to you?

Question of the week: After Stephen was executed by stoning, Phillip left Jerusalem and went to Samaria where “he proclaimed to them the Christ.” Acts 8:5. Who had previously evangelized to the Samaritans?

Answer: Does the “Woman of Samaria at the Well” sound familiar? Yes, it was Jesus himself that had spent time in Samaria “and many believed in Him.” Acts 4:39.

Prayer Request for Stopping the Devastation of the Ebola Virus
Tim and Beth are missionaries in Guinea presently in the states on leave. They ask that we join them in the following prayer.

“In the name of Jesus, we are praying that this virus will be halted in its tracks. Pray that the truth about this illness will spread in these places, pray for the quick and honest dispersal of aid, and pray for able personnel to help with this crisis. Pray that many people will come to know Jesus as a result of God’s hand.”
