“ A Wise Man Once Said….”
What is wisdom? It is certainly something we want to learn and obtain. Years ago there was a series of E F Hutton ads that proclaimed, “When E. F. Hutton talks, people listen.” As soon as someone mentioned the magic words, “my broker is E.F. Hutton and E.F. Hutton says,” everybody stopped to hear those word of wisdom.
Solomon asked God for wisdom and God blessed him with the gift of wisdom as he became the King of Israel. Solomon, the Scripture’s declare was the wisest of all people. Something happened however and this wise man also became one of the most foolish. Should we listen to Solomon who was wise beyond imagination but oh so foolish? What can we gain from this gifted man of God who did not walk his talk? Is there something we want to stop and listen to when the words, “Solomon says,” are spoken?
