HOT DOG FUNDRAISER

The Fundraiser Team will be running the Hot dog stand at Super saver at Fall brook ,

Saturday August 9th from 9:30 to 2:30.

Come support our church and get a hot dog, chips, a can of pop or water for $3.00.

This is an outreach opportunity for Word of Life to be in our community. Supersaver generously donates the supplies and we get the proceeds from the sales.

WOMEN’S ICE CREAM SOCIAL

Sunday, August 17, 2-4pm

On August 17th from 2-4pm, we will have a women’s Ice Cream Social. We’ll have a devo, play some games, and relax with our refreshing ice cream! We hope to see you there!

Ice Cream provided, talk to Michelle if you’d like to help bring an ice cream topping (so we don’t have 5 chocolates and no cherries!).

CALL COMMITTEE UPDATE

The Call Committee is working on getting new names for the Call process. If you know of any pastors that you believe would be a good fit for Word of Life, please contact Nate Meier natemeier@gmail.com to submit a name.

 

SUNDAY SCHOOL NEWS

Sunday School will begin September 7th. Children ages 3-High School are invited to attend our Sunday School Classes. We ask that you fill out a registration form so we know how many children to plan for. Forms are available outside the church office.

 

EVENTS AT MESSIAH LUTERAN

THIRD THURSDAY CHRISMON CRAFTING

It’s not too late to join in the Chrismon-making fun! Each third Thursday, from 6:30-8:30, a group will gather to make these beautiful Christian symbols for our Christmas tree. Our next meeting will be August 21.

Please join us for some good fellowship, snacks and ornament making party.

If you have any questions you can ask Philip Dani or Ruth Walla.

OPTIONS FOR PARENTS

LIVE STREAM in our Nursery/Preschool room available during church services for anyone with the wiggles (young and old!). This space has plenty of toys to keep little ones occupied (parents should plan to be in the room with their children.)

Wiggle Room in Room #4 (the room just to the left out the Sanctuary door) is equipped with a TV to stream the service along with chairs, and a few toys. This is a great space for feeding babies or corralling toddlers! This space is also available during Sunday School for those who are not quite ready for the Preschool classroom. Parents should plan to supervise their children in this space.

And, as always, we welcome the squirms, noises, and energy that come with children. God put the wiggle in children, don’t feel like you have to suppress it here!

Children are a gift, and we’d love to support you in the faith formation of your family!
