Jr. Youth (6-8th grades) will meet Sunday, February 25th at 3pm for an afternoon of IRL (in real life) Mafia.

If you would be interested in helping to serve as a leader/chaperone for the youth events during April – October, please contact Krayton (krayton.koski@gmail.com, 402-641-6717) or Ben Koski (koskiben@gmail.com, 402-641-6043).

CONREGATION SELF STUDY UPDATE

As we look forward to the calling of a new pastor, we will be spending January and February reviewing the Narrative Question Summary Statements that were used for developing our Congregation Self Study. The process that the Call Committee used in developing these statement summaries was as follows:

1. Narrative responses were read thoroughly multiple times.

2. Themes were identified through like responses, focusing on words and phrases.

3. Summary statements were developed based on the themes utilizing language from the survey responses.

For this week, we are looking at the following question: What are the most important things you as laity need to be doing to maintain good relationships with your new pastor?

Our summary statements are:

1. We, as a congregation, need to pray for our pastor, encourage our pastor and show him respect through our words and actions.

2. We, as a congregation, need to be active members by attending church, be willing to get involved, serve with time and money, introduce our pastor to the community and stay in the Word.

3. We, as a congregation, need to first welcome, then get to know our pastor by reaching out, checking in with, visiting with, and just spending time with him.

4. We, as a congregation, need to demonstrate openness, patience and adaptability.

5. We, as a congregation, need to practice open and honest communication.

The Word of Life Congregation Self Study & Survey Results are available for your review. There are 3 copies in notebooks on the high top tables in the entryway. Please keep the notebooks within the church building.

OPTIONS FOR PARENTS

In order to better serve our families, we have improved two spaces for children on Sunday mornings.

LIVE STREAM in our Nursery/Preschool room available during church services for anyone with the wiggles (young and old!). This space has plenty of toys to keep little ones occupied (parents should plan to be in the room with their children.)

Wiggle Room in Room #4 (the room just to the left out the Sanctuary door) is equipped with a TV to stream the service along with chairs, and a few toys. This is a great space for feeding babies or corralling toddlers! This space is also available during Sunday School for those who are not quite ready for the Preschool classroom. Parents should plan to supervise their children in this space.

And, as always, we welcome the squirms, noises, and energy that come with children. God put the wiggle in children, don’t feel like you have to suppress it here!

Children are a gift, and we’d love to support you in the faith formation of your family!

WORD OF LIFE DECALS

Did you get your WORD OF LIFE DECAL?

If you haven’t they will be available at church on Sundays!

$3.00 for little ones

$5.00 for large ones

SAY IT WITH FLOWERS

If you would like to help beautify our worship space, consider giving flowers! If you have any cut flowers from your garden, or if you’d like to donate toward the purchase of flowers, please contact the office at WOLLincolnOffice@gmail.com.

The Flowers on the alter this week are given in honor of Dan and Ruth Walla’s 25th wedding anniversary!
