Ash Wednesday kicked off our Lenten season last Wednesday. Please join us as we continue in the Lenten service for our services at 6:30pm. We will offer a meal starting at 5:30.

LILY ADOPTION

It’s that time again to think about adopting Easter lilies!

Once again, we will be purchasing Easter lilies to beautify our sanctuary for Easter. Lily adoptions are $15 apiece, and will be available after service on Easter to take home with you! Yellow Adoption forms will be available by the bulletins. Please plan to adopt your lilies no later than April 6.

ADULT MEMBERSHIP CLASS

GOD CONNECTS: A COURSE IN CHRISTIANITY

Each Wednesday, following the Lenten services, we will offer an Adult Membership class. If you’re looking to join our church or looking to learn more about Lutheran beliefs this class is for you! THIRD THURSDAY CHRISMON CRAFTING IS BACK!

The third Thursday of every month, a group will get together for fellowship while making Chrimsons at Word of Life. Chrismons are white and gold Christmas ornaments featuring Christian Symbols derived from Christ and Monogram representing Jesus and core faith doctrines.

Our next meeting is March 19th.

 Our tree looked so beautiful this past Christmas with all our new Chrismons on the tree. Come be a part of adding more Chrismons to the Word of Life tree. No experience needed!

We meet 6:30 to 8:00. We’ll have some snacks and fellowship. If you have questions ask Ruth Walla or Philip Dani.

Mark your calendars for March 15, 2-4pm. We’ll test your skills and see who comes out on top with some fun games! Bring a friend and a snack to share!

WOL COMMUNITY GARDEN

It’s that time of the year again where gardeners are itching to get back in the soil… they may have to wait a few months, but it’s not too early to start planning! If you have a love of gardening we could use your help for our church’s garden! Contact Jim Hewitt or the office to see how you can get involved!

CALL PROCESS UPDATE

The Call Committee is prayerfully exploring all avenues as we seek the next pastor for Word of Life. We continue to reach out to potential candidates for interviews and also have made initial inquiries about the process for requesting a candidate from one of the seminaries. Please continue to keep the call process in your prayers!

I-180 CORRIDOR YOUTH NEWS

Junior and Senior High will be having a lock-in on February 20 & 21 at Holy Savior Lutheran Church! Bring a friend and join us for a time of fun and fellowship!

Lincoln Lutheran is inviting members of our association churches to consider serving as a host family for one of three Norwegian exchange students for the 2026-2027 school year.

For nearly 30 years, students from our sister school in Norway have come to Lincoln Lutheran for an immersive cultural experience and Christ-centered education. Host families play a vital role by providing a welcoming home, daily support, and strong sense of belonging within a Christian family.

Hosting is a meaningful way to live out hospitality and build cross-cultural relationships. Families of all sizes are encouraged to learn more. Ongoing support and a housing stipend are provided throughout the year.

OPTIONS FOR PARENTS

LIVE STREAM in our Nursery/Preschool room available during church services for anyone with the wiggles (young and old!). This space has plenty of toys to keep little ones occupied (parents should plan to be in the room with their children.)

Wiggle Room in Room #4 (the room just to the left out the Sanctuary door) is equipped with a TV to stream the service along with chairs, and a few toys. This is a great space for feeding babies or corralling toddlers! This space is also available during Sunday School for those who are not quite ready for the Preschool classroom. Parents should plan to supervise their children in this space.

And, as always, we welcome the squirms, noises, and energy that come with children. God put the wiggle in children, don’t feel like you have to suppress it here!

Children are a gift, and we’d love to support you in the faith formation of your family!
