VBS: SAVE THE DATE!

This year we will host our VBS June 29-July 2, 9am-Noon. This is a great opportunity for kids, grandkids, friends, and neighbors to come to Word of Life and hear about Jesus!

We’d love to Explore the Nature of God with our friends from 3 years (or potty trained) on up! Children past 5th grade will be helpers!

VOLUNTEER MEETING

May 17th, after church, we’ll meet briefly to discuss or VBS plans for this year! Please plan to join us!

WESTWARD ROAD CONCERT

 May 17^th, 6:00 pm, Westward Road will visit Word of Life for a free concert!(Freewill donation appreciated)

This is a perfect chance to invite someone to church!

The concert will be about 70 minutes.

NEW “THE WAY” BIBLE STUDY

“The WAY” will begin a new study using the book “Gospeler” by Willie Robertson in May.

Do you believe other people are better at sharing their faith than you? Have you ever said, “that’s not my gift”? Have you ever felt that you don’t know the Bible well enough?

Gospeler covers many of the potential roadblocks that hold us back from having these Gospel conversations. In Jesus final words to his disciples, he said , “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” In this book, Willie offers personal stories, practical advice, and scriptures to help you become confident that you, too, can be a Gospeler.

This is a great time to join in a new study on the 2^nd and 4^th Thursday’s.

WOL COMMUNITY GARDEN

WOW EVENTS

Our Women’s group at Word of Life (WOW) is invited to several LWML activities around the area. Please stay tuned for other Women’s Events!

September 18-19: Kearny Nebraska, Sharing the Love of God, LWML convention.

THIRD THURSDAY CHRISMON CRAFTING

Our tree looked so beautiful this past Christmas with all our new Chrismons on the tree. Come be a part of adding more Chrismons to the Word of Life tree. No experience needed!

The third Thursday of every month, a group will get together for fellowship while making Chrimsons at Word of Life. Chrismons are white and gold Christmas ornaments featuring Christian Symbols derived from Christ and Monogram representing Jesus and core faith doctrines.

Our next meeting is May 21st. We meet 6:30 to 8:00. We’ll have some snacks and fellowship. If you have questions ask Ruth Walla or Philip Dani.

SCRIP

Thanks to everyone who ordered Scrip over the holidays and to everyone who keeps supporting the Scrip program. We will be placing another order after the 1st of the year. If there is anything you would like us to keep on hand just let us know.

OPTIONS FOR PARENTS

LIVE STREAM in our Nursery/Preschool room available during church services for anyone with the wiggles (young and old!). This space has plenty of toys to keep little ones occupied (parents should plan to be in the room with their children.)

Wiggle Room in Room #4 (the room just to the left out the Sanctuary door) is equipped with a TV to stream the service along with chairs, and a few toys. This is a great space for feeding babies or corralling toddlers! This space is also available during Sunday School for those who are not quite ready for the Preschool classroom. Parents should plan to supervise their children in this space.

And, as always, we welcome the squirms, noises, and energy that come with children. God put the wiggle in children, don’t feel like you have to suppress it here!

Children are a gift, and we’d love to support you in the faith formation of your family!
