SHINING the LIGHT of JESUS in the DARKNESS

Thank you to all who helped out with Trunk or Treat this year!

We had a record number of kids and families through our parking lot with at least 200!

We had 9 trunks, a fire pit, and lots of lights!

All these visitors heard and saw the “Story of Everything”, from Creation, to Resurrection and all that’s in between!

JR. CONFIRMATION STARTS SUNDAY

Please pray for our students that the Holy Spirit will work in the hearts and minds of our students and move them to great faith and trust.

Our Jr. Confirmation Students will meet in Pastor’s office for their studies at 9:15 on Sunday mornings.

SUNDAY SCHOOL ROOM CHANGES

Sunday School rooms will shift a bit in the coming weeks. Dan Walla’s Class will move to Room 1, and the 3rd-6th grade Sunday School Class will move to Room #2. This will allow us to better serve our young families with a “Wiggle Room” in Room #4.

NEW OPTIONS FOR PARENTS!

In order to better serve our families, we have improved two spaces for children on Sunday mornings.

LIVE STREAM in our Nursery/Preschool room available during church services for anyone with the wiggles (young and old!). This space has plenty of toys to keep little ones occupied (parents should plan to be in the room with their children.)

Coming Soon: A Wiggle Room in Room #4 (the room just to the left out the Sanctuary door) is being equipped with a TV to stream the service along with chairs, and a few toys. This is a great space for feeding babies or corralling toddlers! This space is also available during Sunday School for those who are not quite ready for the Preschool classroom. Parents should plan to supervise their children in this space.

And, as always, we welcome the squirms, noises, and energy that come with children. God put the wiggle in children, don’t feel like you have to suppress it here! Children are a gift, and we’d love to support you in the faith formation of your family!

MISSION CENTRAL BUS TRIP

The LWML Lincoln Zone is hosting a bus trip Saturday, November 18, to Mission Central in Mapleton, Iowa. Departure time is 8:00AM from Messiah Lutheran Church (1800 S 84th Street). Arrival time at Mission Central needs to be by 10:30AM. This is a day trip, and we will return to Messiah around 6:00PM. A full tour is scheduled plus a presentation by Carol Lee Halter, a missionary to India for over 30 years. A catered meal will be at Noon.
