FALL WORK DAY

Saturday, October 18th, 9:30am, we will be cleaning up the firepit, cleaning inside the church, and taking care of our property for the fall and winter. Bring a pair of work gloves, and join in the fun!

CALL PROCESS UPDATE

Thank you for your continued prayers over our call process at Word of Life as we seek a new pastor to lead our ministry. The Call Committee recently received a new call list from our District President, and we are prayerfully reviewing candidates on this list in preparation for interviews. We look forward to sharing additional updates over the next few weeks. In the meantime, please keep our call process in your prayers.

Movie Night – Senior High youth, join us for our rescheduled movie night on October 25th at 6 PM! We will be watching Thunderbolts and roasting hotdogs over a campfire at 931 W Leon St. For any questions email estherlangnessdce@gmail.com

October 19th, we’ll gather at the firepit for a great time! Dee’s hubby’s famous chili will be served along with deluxe smores! We’ll meet 6-8pm.

TRUNK OR TREAT 2025

Mark your Calendars for October 27th, 5:30-7pm for our annual Trunk or Treat! Bring the kids, enjoy some great trunks, warm up by the fire, and learn the “Story of Everything”.

We will also need people to decorate their trunks as stories from the Bible. We will start with Creation and share the story of God’s plan for Salvation all the way up to Revelation. If you’d like to provide a trunk, talk to Michelle Meier: WOLLincolnOffice@gmail.com. A sign up will be outside the office in a few weeks.

SCRIP

Scrip is for sale on Sundays following the church service. We also have the water bottle and car window decals available. Contact Linda Lowe with questions: llowe1621@gmail.com

OPTIONS FOR PARENTS

LIVE STREAM in our Nursery/Preschool room available during church services for anyone with the wiggles (young and old!). This space has plenty of toys to keep little ones occupied (parents should plan to be in the room with their children.)

Wiggle Room in Room #4 (the room just to the left out the Sanctuary door) is equipped with a TV to stream the service along with chairs, and a few toys. This is a great space for feeding babies or corralling toddlers! This space is also available during Sunday School for those who are not quite ready for the Preschool classroom. Parents should plan to supervise their children in this space.

And, as always, we welcome the squirms, noises, and energy that come with children. God put the wiggle in children, don’t feel like you have to suppress it here!

Children are a gift, and we’d love to support you in the faith formation of your family!
