CALL PROCESS UPDATE

Thank you for your continued prayers for our call process at Word of Life. The Call Committee is currently reviewing a new call list provided by District President Snow. Please keep our congregation and the pastors we are interacting with in your prayers while we faithfully navigate this call process!

VBS: 2026

This year we will host our VBS June 29-July 2, 9am-Noon. This is a great opportunity for kids, grandkids, friends, and neighbors to come to Word of Life and hear about Jesus!

We’d love to Explore the Nature of God with our friends from 3 years (or potty trained) on up! Children past 5th grade will be helpers!

VOLUNTEER MEETING

May 17th, after church, we’ll meet briefly to discuss or VBS plans for this year! Please plan to join us!

WESTWARD ROAD CONCERT

 May 17^th, 6:00 pm, Westward Road will visit Word of Life for a free concert!(Freewill donation appreciated)

This is a perfect chance to invite someone to church!

The concert will be about 70 minutes.

SUNDAY SCHOOL NEWS

May 17th is the last Sunday for Sunday School for this year. We thank you for being a part of our Sunday School program and especially thank the teachers for all their hard work an dedication this year.

We will start back up for the Fall on September 13th!

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL MOVIE SERIES

Sunday School is almost over for the Summer, but the fun doesn’t have to end!

All ages are invited to come and explore God’s Big Story with our Summer Sunday School Movie Series. Each Sunday we will watch a movie based on real Bible events. We’ll familiarize ourselves with classic Bible Stories recognizing that every story points to Jesus!

Iced Coffee on a Sunday afternoon? Just say yes!

Our women’s group will meet on June 14th, 2-4pm, at New Day Coffee in Fallbrook. Come join us for a time of fellowship and friendship!

Our Women’s group at Word of Life (WOW) is invited to several LWML activities around the area. Please stay tuned for other Women’s Events!

THIRD THURSDAY CHRISMON CRAFTING

Our tree looked so beautiful this past Christmas with all our new Chrismons on the tree. Come be a part of adding more Chrismons to the Word of Life tree. No experience needed!

The third Thursday of every month, a group will get together for fellowship while making Chrimsons at Word of Life. Chrismons are white and gold Christmas ornaments featuring Christian Symbols derived from Christ and Monogram representing Jesus and core faith doctrines.

Our next meeting is May 21st. We meet 6:30 to 8:00. We’ll have some snacks and fellowship. If you have questions ask Ruth Walla or Philip Dani.

SCRIP

Thanks to everyone who ordered Scrip over the holidays and to everyone who keeps supporting the Scrip program. We will be placing another order after the 1st of the year. If there is anything you would like us to keep on hand just let us know.

OPTIONS FOR PARENTS

LIVE STREAM in our Nursery/Preschool room available during church services for anyone with the wiggles (young and old!). This space has plenty of toys to keep little ones occupied (parents should plan to be in the room with their children.)

Wiggle Room in Room #4 (the room just to the left out the Sanctuary door) is equipped with a TV to stream the service along with chairs, and a few toys. This is a great space for feeding babies or corralling toddlers! This space is also available during Sunday School for those who are not quite ready for the Preschool classroom. Parents should plan to supervise their children in this space.

And, as always, we welcome the squirms, noises, and energy that come with children. God put the wiggle in children, don’t feel like you have to suppress it here!

Children are a gift, and we’d love to support you in the faith formation of your family!
